Is high-resolution microscopy (40x, 60x, 100x) possible with the ibidi Heating Systems for multiwell plates?

In principle, high-resolution microscopy is possible with the ibidi Heating System, Multiwell Plate – Blue Line and the ibidi Heating System Multiwell Plate – Silver Line, depending on the working distance of the individual objective. The 0.7 mm thick Heated Glass Bottom creates an additional distance of 0.7 mm between the bottom of the sample and the objective.

Examples:

• When working with coverslip bottom well plates (e.g., ibidi µ-Plate 96 Well), a minimum working distance of ~1 mm is needed.
• When working with standard well plates with a thick plastic bottom, a minimum working distance of ~2 mm is needed.

Oil or water immersion objectives are not compatible with the ibidi Heating System, Multiwell Plates.
